Fun With Reloading Bullets

I have had a lot of fun with reloading over the years. Taking a boring job and finding a way to make it interesting was never my strong point but because I find it so interesting it makes it easy.

Just the idea of increased accuracy and distance shooting capabilities was exciting for me. The idea of making shots that  others were just thinking about was awesome reloading put me miles ahead of most hunters. It was hard at times when so called good hunters would talk about shots at more distance than was possible with some insane calibre.

But their were good times when I could teach a good hunter how to use a good rifle he had to gain an extra three hundred yards and still shoot with confidence. Some people seem to take to the distance with ease but lots just found it hard to belive.

The idea of having five or six feet of bullet drop and still killing game was a bit hard to belive especially a moose. The size and power of an animal that could take a kill shot at close range and still cover a lot of ground made it harder to belive that it still could be done at five or six hundred yards.

Reloading Bullets

Hi It looks like I may spend another year hunting or scouting anyway I had a friend come over and talk me into hunting with him and his son-in-law he is still not sure of the area I showed him even though we have taken 10 or more bulls from there over the years. I have a seven mil.mag rifle here to use but my personal rifle is lent to my nephew up north he is reloading for it there he said he has found a friend to show him the ropes on the reloading bench.

He has shot three deer and a couple moose with the gun in the last two years but is waiting and using mine until he can afford his own gun and scope of good quality and with using my reloads and a good gun. He will not go back to a junk old rifle for a best in the world game hunting area like the peace region in north eastern BC.

I may just go out scouting for these guys and not even but a tag but not much chance of that I have no patience for sitting and not getting involved. Then I may get one more guy into reloading for his gun.

Reloading bullets is a sport that you want to do for better hunting when you can take your game at most any distance then you will see the value.

It is such a great feeling to reload a round and take your moose at 3 to 600 yards with confidence. That is when you know what reloading bullets is all about.
